Great sushi, super nice staff. Lots of locals which is always a good sign. Really liked the Placer gold roll. Their miso soup is top knotch. Go there!
We ate here earlier in the month for my birthday and they had a nice selection of sushi, some nice veggie options too if you like that and very nice staff. You can eat at the bar, inside or there are a few tables out there back door with a lil lake view. I would visit again.
Small place excellent service. Low key ambiance 3 out of 5. House hot sake was fair. Sushi that we ordered was well made good portions. Hotate had questionable bland taste texture.
Not (quite) waterfront, but definitely worth a stop in Tahoe City. We'd been craving sushi and this hit the spot. Came by during a holiday weekend in the summer and was pleasantly surprised by no wait! It's off the main road in Tahoe CIty. Pro tip- sit on the patio for a view of the water. :) We ordered several rolls and were pleased.
Stopped by this place after a long day on the mountain and was surprised by how good it was! I got the It's Got Kick and the Spicy Tuna which were not too spicy, letting the taste of the tuna still persist. It came with ample ginger and wasabi. Service was reasonable though not the fastest I've seen at a sushi place. Inside the place is not too large with maybe 6-8 tables and bar seating. Definitely carted towards tourists visiting with all the hiking and ski related decor. The other rolls my friends got were also great! Would definitely try this place again if in Tahoe City again.
